THE STYLE

This kind of wedding photography (reportage) appeals to a certain type of person. It's for someone who doesn't want a big production or to be hassled or handled by the photographer. The results are natural memories of your day not stiff uncomfortable poses. Every wedding requires a few formal group shots and we cater for these accordingly but the main emphasis will be on candid, unobtrusive photography.

At Perceptive the wedding is the easy part, requiring anywhere from four to twelve hours at the event. This can be by one photographer or two. Coverage often starts at the house while the bride is getting ready and continues through the reception. A few formal shots are always required but we try and keep the rest of the day as relaxed and informal as possible. We like to capture the days events as they happen rather than staging shots to photograph. The memories the photographs help recall should be real ones, not staged moments in the day. Any special requests for photographs can be mentioned in the contract or on the day. We are happy to take as many photos as you like. No additional charges will be made if you request additional photographs. These photographs will also be included with you package.

The real work starts after the wedding, with editing, online proofing and printing, We use the latest digital cameras, editing software and printers to ensure you get perfect results. Every image is viewed in detail on a computer, alterations are made to each and every print to ensure that tonal range, contrast, colour balance, sharpness, composition and content are exactly right. Computer editing of images allows us to provide the equivalent of traditional hand printing techniques on every image you get. This kind of service just wouldn't have been available in the days of film. We can produce results that would have taken an old master 20 years to learn and 6 months to produce in fraction of the time. This doesn't mean that we rush things through, quite the opposite, we just have the technology to do amazing things with photographs, quickly. Photographs can be black and white, colour or a combination of the two. Turning an image to black and white then revealing colour in specific areas can produce amazing results. Once your images have been through our editing phase (about 2 weeks) a web site is built so that you may view them online. Every image that we put on the web site will be in your album/s. Your albums will arrive about two weeks after the web site goes live.

All of our packages include every photograph taken as a 6"x4" print. You don't have to choose a selection, or even worse have a selection chosen for you. You get every picture (we will delete pictures with faults i.e.. eyes closed) as a 6"x4" print presented in simple black album. To help you share you photographs with friends and family we create your own wedding web site. Additional prints can be purchased directly through the web site and delivered worldwide.

COLOUR OR B&W

Digital wedding photography means images can be printed in either colour or black and white. The 6"x4" prints supplied with the package must be in colour OR black and white OR, at the discretion of the photographer a combination of the two. Additional reprints can be in colour OR black and white.

BRIDAL MAKE-UP

As well as photography Perceptive offer a full bridal make-up service. All bridal make-up is applied by our head make-up artist Victoria Fordham. Victoria can help make your day a special one with make-up that will last and impress for the whole day, not just the ceremony. Foundation is applied using an airbrush to give a flawless complexion and the durability demanded by the days events. With a very natural style Victoria will not plaster you with make-up but rather enhance your natural features to make you look your best.

Add Bridal make-up to any of the wedding photography packages below for £70.00. Make up consultations are £35.00 At the consultation you will be able to try out different looks and decide on the one that suits you best. We offer a special package for £125 and this includes: make-up consultation, Bridal make up on the day plus two additional make over's on the day.
